Bring the followings to your CFA Level 1 exam:

1. This is paper-based exam
2. HB/2 pencil
3. Pencil Eraser
4. Ticket (don’t write anything, they will collect the ticket after the exam)
5. Government issued, valid, non-expired ID bearing your photo.
6. Calculator: only 2 Models are allowed, TI BAII Plus^® (including BAII Plus Professional) and HP 12C^®
7. Plastic bag is not allowed into to the exam venue
8. Bring the notes with you! In the morning session, you may find you miss some concepts or equations. It is very possible they will test the same concepts again in the afternoon! So you may review it during the lunch break!

On that day:

1. You are asked to arrive 1 hour earlier. Don’t panic if you are caught in the traffic. It usually takes them until 15 minutes before the exam to start announcing the rules and helping you put your names on the paper. But it is always good to arrive early.
2. Bring some cash. The parking lot probably won’t accept credit card.
3. Also bring cash for lunch. To speed up the transaction, they may cancel credit card paying (in some venues, hundreds of people are flocking into a small canteen)
4. In some venues, they provide distilled water for candidates during the exam.
5. Relax! You’ve already tried your best. Indeed many people just won’t show up!
